The tobacco museum in Kampen was housed for years in the building at the Butter Market.
Unfortunately the building no longer require the security to receive groups of people.
The exhibition is to a large extent moved to the cigars factory Olifant. A large part of the collection is on display in one of the antique attics. When you are interseted to view this collection feel free to ask. On special request de Eenhoorn will show this collection during one of it's tours.
During a broadcast of 'de IJzeren eeuw' (the Iron Age) of the VPRO about Dutch history in Indonesia, attention was paid to the tobacco industry. Watch the video of de IJzeren eeuw, with images and stories from Indonesia where the tobacco comes from and images from cigar factory Olifant in Kampen.
